The LEGO series of games are some of the last to keep the long-tradition of cheat codes alive. The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game continues the trend, including a list of cheat codes you can input at any time to unlock new characters to play around with. Who doesn’t love cheat codes? We adore cheat codes, and you can find the list of codes we’ve found (so far) below.

As with any Lego game, you can enter codes from the main menu by selecting “Extras” and then “Enter Code“. After that you can activate the cheat. Cheat Codes are a totally different thing than Red Bricks. See, Red Bricks are special “cheats” you can purchase in-game that give you lots of cool effects, but you’ll actually have to earn them. To earn a Red Brick, you’ll have to find it in a level or environment, then spend your hard-earned studs to unlock. Once a Red Brick is unlocked, you can turn the cheat-y effects off and on as much as you please. Red Bricks do cool stuff like multiply the amount of studs you collect, or make every character sport a fancy bushy mustache. There are lots of random effects, and finding them all is just one of the things every kid absolutely must do in a LEGO game.

Cheat Codes, on the other hand, require no special in-game stuff. All you have to do is input these codes for new minifig characters. We can’t say no to more minifigs in any situation.

PS4 Cheats

Like many LEGO Games before it, the LEGO Movie 2 Video Game is packed with secret unlock codes for you to snag early access to characters, vehicles, and more. Each code will unlock a “relic” piece that can be opened to reveal various items.

To use the codes in game head to the pause menu, then enter the six digit code to unlock in game content. Then head to the closest shop to open your relics!

How to Unlock Characters?
This can only be done while you’re in Free Play mode (it doesn’t work in Story mode). You can only buy a character that you have already unlocked, by holding the Triangle button on PS4 / holding the Y button on Xbox One / holding the X button on Switch, to bring up the character menu. When you see that character menu, then select the black silhouette of the character you want from the grid and select “Buy” to make it available for you to play with in Free Play mode.

Important Note: Unlocking characters usually involves completing campaign missions, bonus- or side missions, or finding their token card hidden throughout the game levels or overworld map.

How to Switch Characters?
This can only be done while you’re in Free Play mode (it doesn’t work in Story mode). Hold the Triangle button on PS4 / hold the Y button on Xbox One / hold the X button on Switch to bring up the character menu.

How to redeem a digital code on the PlayStation 4

On the PS4 Home Menu go to the PlayStation Store
Highlight and select “Redeem Codes” from the list of store categories on the left of the store
Enter your code and press X to continue
Now you will see the content you are redeeming. Highlight the confirm option and press X.
A message will appear that the code has been redeemed, press the button on “OK”.
The content should download automatically but if it does not, or if you would like to manually download the content, visit the game page In your Library from the Home Menu
Highlight “Related Items”, scroll over to “My Add-Ons” and press X
Here you can choose the items to manually download to your console

How to redeem a digital code on the Nintendo Switch

Select “Nintendo eShop” on the HOME Menu to launch the Nintendo eShop
Select the account you want to use
Select “Enter Code” on the left side of the screen
Enter the 16-character download code. Any letters and symbols not used with prepaid codes (i.e. O, I, Z, commas, hyphens, etc.) will be disabled from the on-screen keyboard
Select “Send” to confirm. The game will begin downloading once the code is confirmed. The game icon will appear on the home menu, with a download status bar. The status bar will disappear once the download is complete
